The psychology of selling, why your strategy isn't working and 47 ways to communicate your brand.

The psychology of getting people to say yes is oh so creepy, and yet oh so important in business. The nudge podcast brought two gems to my attention. Firstly, that reminding people that they can say no results in them being more likely to say yes. And secondly, that a softer approach is often more effective than an aggressive one. I would love to hear the research on those passive aggressive sales approaches cluttering up my inbox!

Do you have a strategy?

Or do you have goals without a plan? Often strategies fail because they were never really strategies to begin with, and that’s according to the Harvard Business Review, not just me. A strategy is as much about what you don’t do as what you do, it’s about maintaining focus on the plan and working towards clearly defined goals. Thanks to Beauty Backed and Jessica Jackley for this reminder, just as relevant now as it was a year ago.
